We have an exciting opportunity to join us in supporting one of our valued customers as a Holistic Situational Awareness and Decision Making (HAS-DM) Tech Area Engineer to work out of Fort Eustis, VA. The HAS-MD will assist the Intelligent Teaming Tech Area Branch of the Technology Development Directive-TDD.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate, and execute simulation, evaluation, test, and demonstration efforts in Software Integration Lab (SIL) and aircraft test environments.
  • Maintain cognizance of Project schedules, goals, and phases and participation in annual demonstration events. Coordinate efforts with other technical areas, labs, and academia.
  • Develop and assist with execution of test and demonstration plans to include periodic test and demo events for the Decision Aiding, Human Machine Interface, and Autonomous Flight Control technical focus areas. (estimate 6 month test intervals)
  • Assist with test plan development, test data aggregation and analysis, and test reporting. 
  • Additional duties as assigned 

Qualifications

Required Skills:

  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in the integration and test of rotorcraft aviation mission equipment including sensors, networking, computing, and displays (fixed and helmet mounted).

Desired Skills:

  • Preferred degree in Engineering.
  • Knowledge of mission level software development, integration, and testing challenges. Software may include route replanning, operator cueing, Human Machine Interface, and Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning.
  • Knowledge of development and test process to include simulation environments, lab experiments, integration and test on aviation assets with the ability to conduct test and demonstration events on range. (Yuma, Aberdeen, Ames, Ft. Eustis, Huntsville, etc…)
  • Possess strong oral and written communication skills, as well as ability to work collaboratively as part of a diverse team.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access, and Outlook) 

Education:

  • Bachelors degree from an accredited university

Clearance: Secret

 

Travel: 25%
