We have an exciting opportunity to join us in supporting one of our valued customers as a Logistics and Inventory Control Specialist to work out of Fort Eustis, VA.

Responsibilities

  • Recommend processes and procedures for conducting logistics and inventory control, logging, procurement, tracking, receiving, distribution and storage of all items that support our mission.
  • Incorporate and execute all approved processes and procedures for conducting the logistics and inventory control tasks.
  • Maintain a database of all logistics transactions, to include but not limited to: Log number, inventory instructions, ordering point of contact, item description, national stock number or part number, quantity, unit of issue, hand-receipt number, job-order number, unit cost, total cost, date of submittal, required/requested delivery date, estimated date of arrival, status, manufacturer, incomplete or partial deliveries, etc.
  • Maintain a physical inventory of equipment ordered and received. The government will make available the storage facilities and equipment.
  • Maintain a database of all inventory items, to include but not limited to: project identification, storage location, quantity on-hand, national stock number or part number, serial number (if applicable), etc.
  • Coordinate, track, and verify updates/changes to accounts, as assigned. All modifications, corrections, or changes shall be coordinated through the hand-receipt holder, to the Property Book Officer (PBO) for implementation. 
  • Assist the Government Hand Receipt Holders in conducting quarterly inspections of items on the various hand-receipt lists
  • Additional duties as assigned 

Qualifications

Required Skills:

  • Minimum of 1 year of aviation experience
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in logistics

Desired Skills:

  • Army Aviation experience is preferred
  • Bachelor's degree is preferred
  • Experience in conducting logistics and inventory control, logs, procurement, tracks, receives, distributes and stores items
  • Experience in the DOD intelligence environment or equivalent government agencies, with field level experience preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access, and Outlook) 

Education:

  • Associates degree from an accredited university

Clearance: Clearable (Ability to obtain)
