We have an immediate need for a skilled Software Engineer to provide support for the National Capitol Region - Integrated Air Defense Systems (NCR-IADS) Program Office, which is within the Digital Directorate at Hanscom AFB, MA.

Responsibilities

  • Review and evaluate system technical specifications, designs, analyses, test processes/plans/procedures/results, technical IMS artifacts, and technical data packages for the determination of compliance with requirements and the methods required for sustainment.
  • Assess and provide an analysis of documentation within the systems engineering realm.
  • Provide technical expertise to assess and report and counsel the government program office on system development performance, metrics of progress and performance, compliance, verification of processes and configuration management.
  • Attend Technical Interchange Meetings with prime contractors providing technical evaluations of analyses and trade-off activities, assessments of contractor technical efforts, and recommendations to the program office.
  • Additional duties as assigned 

Qualifications

Required Skills:

  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in the DoD environment 
  • Must have current technical and analytic experience with Air Force software and hardware intensive Command and Control Systems

Desired Skills:

  • Air Force acquisition processes, standards, and guidance; experience with Air Defense or other homeland defense ground surveillance capabilities highly desirable; as is with experience with Radar and other surveillance systems
  • Experience with transitioning command and control systems to sustainment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access, and Outlook) 

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university
