We have an exciting opportunity to join us in supporting one of our valued customers as a Systems Engineer II to support the Platform Operations South Program located at Maxwell Gunter AFB in Montgomery, AL.

 

Platforms Operations South coordinates with the Capability Delivery Teams (CDT) to document the application Lifecycle.  It coordinates and executes the Application Disposition Model with CDTs and PEO.  Manages the BES DevSecOps Pipelines.  Assist with operating the Pipeline software operations, including scripts and configurations.  Monitors and troubleshoots development cycles to support developers offering rapid releases.  Develop and integrate new tools to build Continuous ATO approved updates.  Provide expertise in integrating CDTs into government cloud offerings to include on-premise private, hybrid and public clouds.

Responsibilities

  • Perform and assist with the Operations and Maintenance of the Atlassian Tool Suite - including Jira, Jira Service Desk Confluence and BitBucket
  • Assist with the expansion of Atlassian Tool Suite services via Knowledge -Base Articles.
  • Perform primary day-to-day Help Desk Support for for BES Atlassian Tools Suite via Jira Service Desk, including triaging tickets, routing and escalating tickets to appropriate organizations, and resolving and tracking ticket resolution via metrics.
  • Responsible for Service Desk Notice to Airman (NOTAMs) of service interruptions or outages.
  • Perform Jira application side systems administration.
  • Assist with security scans and testing required for secure operations.
  • Provide support and serve as the single focal point for operational administration and management of all tools associated with the CI/CD pipeline, including Artifactory, Jenkins, MS Build, Gradle, SonarQube, and Checkmarx.
  • Perform duties to conduct DevSecOps.
  • Conduct application and plug-in updates, server reboots, and monitor license usage.
  • Manage CI/CD and Atlassian tool suites for the unit's cybersecurity program.
  • Establish, document and monitor the cybersecurity program implementation plan
  • Ensure compliance with DOE management policies
  • Additional duties as assigned 

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience:

  • BS in Information Technology, Computer Science or equivalent, and 10 years of experience, 3 of which must be in the DoD; or
  • 15 years of directly related experience with proper certifications, 5 of which must be in the DoD

Desired Skills:

  • Experience importing/exporting databases and data migration and conversion
  • Experience maintaining Atlassian and CI/CD tools - specifically Jira, Jira Service Desk, Confluence, Bitbucket, Artifactory, Jenkins, Maven, MS Build, Gradle, SonarQube, Checkmarx or equivalent
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and tools - i.e. Kanban
  • CompTIA Security+ certification desired
  • Experience in the AWS or Axure GovCloud (specifically CloudOne) desired.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access, and Outlook)
