    USfalcon, recognized as one of the fastest growing, privately held companies in the United States, is seeking an Associate Telecommunications Technician to work out of Colorado Springs, CO.  This positions resides in NORAD/NORTHCOM building on Peterson AFB CO.


    • Responsible for pulling, installation, splicing, suspension, and termination of cable installation.
    • Coordinate material and tool requisitioning for the project.
    • Perform equipment site surveys.
    • Prepare all required installation documentation.
    • Support NORAD/NorthCom in the design, installation and repair of copper and fiber cable in support of the communications infrastructure to meet new requirements.
    • Generate concepts, designs and provides support for implementation.
    • Review plans and specifications and make recommendations as to maintenance and operation of new communications prior to and during construction.
    • Inspect repair work in progress for quality of workmanship and compliance with specifications.
    • Responsible for the maintenance of existing infrastructure, planning, and management of all activities related to cable infrastructure within facilities supported by the N2ITSM contract.
    • Plan, organize, and inspect the work of other cable management personnel.
    • Develop and review communication system requirements.
    • Demonstrate continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively and jointly to provide quality customer service.
    • Study organizational structures, unit missions and requirements to gain a better understanding of their impact on systems operation.
    • Develop and maintain Communication and Information Systems Installation Records (CSIR), and schematic operational, systems and technical architecture drawings.
    • Provide technical advice to NORAD/NorthCom staff on best paths and required equipment to meet customer needs.
    • Additional duties as assigned.


    Required Skills:


    • A minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience is required.
    • Certified Fiber Optic Technician certification or equivalent is required.
    • IAT Level I certification is required.

    Desired Skills:

    • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access, and Outlook).
    • Familiar with commercial building architectural drawings, schematics and blue prints.
    • The ability to estimate labor and material costs.
    • A basic understanding of EMSEC to ensure cable runs meet/exceed EMSEC requirements.


    Education:Associates or Technical School degree from an accredited institution.
