    USfalcon, Inc., recognized as one of the fastest growing, privately held companies in the United States, is seeking a Communications Specialist III to work at Schriever AFB, CO.

     

    SUMMARY: The primary purpose of this position is to provide Communications support for a GSU. This is a 24/7 operation. The location of this position is Schriever AFB, CO.

    Responsibilities

    • CONUS travel may be required.
    • Design and conduct training materials (documents, briefings).
    • Design and conduct studies and preparing solutions to resolve substantive problems and issues of effectiveness and efficiency of work operations in a major command program.
    • Develop and apply policies, methods, procedures, and techniques in communications system design and installation to operating situations and problems resolution.
    • Plan, organize, and develop studies or projects as tasked by the operations staff, making recommendations on substantive operating programs, and negotiate effectively with others to accept and implement recommendations, where the proposals involve substantial resources.
    • Plan, organize, and negotiate effectively with senior management to accept and implement recommendations, where proposals involve substantial resources, and require extensive changes in established concepts and procedures.
    • Identify, analyze, and translate complex information, make appropriate judgments, and evaluate options concerning anomaly resolution.
    • Communicate complex ideas both orally and in writing clearly and concisely and with technical accuracy using tact and diplomacy.
    • Establish effective professional working relationships with coworkers and customers, contributing to a cooperative working environment and successful accomplishment of the mission.
    • Lead and participate in diverse study teams, originate new ideas, projects, and methodologies, and execute projects and/or studies within established financial and/or time constraint.
    • Additional duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    Required Skills:

    • A minimum of four (4) years of relevant experience.
    • CompTIA Security+ certification is required.


    Desired Skills:

    • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access, and Outlook).
    • CompTIA Network+ and/or CompTIA A+ certification is desired.
    • Experience performing communications trend analysis, supporting the development of plans, review requests for communications services, and monitoring/resolving communications technical problems.
    • Experience supporting DT/OT. Also experience supporting new communications requirements.
    • Knowledge of anomaly processes and operating principles, the application of existing and planned technology to communications requirements, and equipment interoperability and compatibility.
    • Knowledge of the government's program goals and objectives; the sequence and timing of key operational events and milestones; methods of evaluating the effectiveness of planning actions related to actual events; and the relationship of the various command entities involved in overall program planning and execution of military operations and evaluations.
    • Knowledge of a wide range of communications concepts, principles, and practices to accomplish work processes through the use of communications devices, methods, services, and facilities. Work encompasses complex and uncommon interfaces and policies and practices; sources of technical data to evaluate new devices, proposals, and approaches for satisfying communications requirements; and a practical understanding of contracting procedures and legal requirements.
    • Knowledge of DoD and Air Force communications regulations, services, and instructions to ensure communications services are in compliance with applicable regulations and instructions.
    • Knowledge of operational and performance characteristics of communications to define, coordinate, plan, and satisfy user requirements for communications equipment, systems, or services, and to review, develop, or interpret communications policies and procedures.
    • Knowledge of commonly used practices, guides, and a broad range of operating techniques concerning both standard and unique communications systems design installation and concept of operations.
    • Knowledge of sources of technical data necessary to evaluate alternative approaches for satisfying communications requirements.
    • Knowledge of military command structure, missions, programs, and organizational relationships and program goals and objectives, the sequence and timing of key operational events and milestones, and methods of evaluating the effectiveness of planning actions as related to actual events.
    • Knowledge of the various military entities involved in overall planning and execution of squadron experiments.

    Education: Bachelor’s degree in related field, from an accredited institution

     

    Clearance: Top Secret/SCI clearance is required
