    We have an exciting opportunity to join us in supporting one of our valued customers, Department of the Navy (DON), in their Financial Improvement and Audit Readiness Program (FIAR) contract. Over the past several years the DON has established a robust FIAR Program that encompasses all DON Major Commands and crosses numerous functional components including service provider interface and coordination. The goals of the FIAR program are:

    • Improve the accuracy, reliability and timeliness of DON financial data and information
    • Establish effective financial internal control environment, processes and procedures
    • Sustain those internal controls reliability
    • Provide a reliable financial environment capable of successfully supporting independent attestation and audit engagements  


    • Assist the DON financial and functional communities in accomplishing the required tasks necessary to achieve and maintain the FIAR goals and objectives
    • Familiar with all aspects of the DoD business and financial processes and procedures for the internal control capabilities
    • Thorough understanding of the inter-relation between all fields of the ‘DoD/DON acquisition processes’
    • Review and evaluate financial risk, financial reporting and accounting transactions processes including controls related to federal entities
    • Review and evaluate complex federal financial statements
    • Identify and communicate accounting and auditing matters to senior associates, managers and partners
    • Identify performance improvement opportunities


    Required Skills:

    • 1-2 years of progressive experience participating in business or financial management services and related projects

    Desired Skills:

    • Comprehensive knowledge of DoD financial processes, guidance and directives, including applicable laws and regulations
    • Knowledge and experience in DoD/DON entitlement and disbursement processes, systems, policies and practices

    • Strong oral/written communication skills

    • Proficiency in MS Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Visio)

    • Previous experience supporting Department of the Navy

    Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business, Business Administration, Finance, Auditing, or Business Operations
