    USfalcon is looking to hire an IT Business Analyst to join our team in support of the Department of the Navy (DON) Offic of the Chief Management Officer (OCMO) in its mission to better synchronize, integrate, and coordinate the business operations of the department and ensure optimal alignment in support of the war fighter.  The analyst will focus on portfolio management and strategic efforts. 


    • Develop and present high level briefs for and to senior executives
    • Provide Navy functional area subject matter expertise in support of Investment Review Board (IRB) portfolio reviews and decisions
    • Analyze/support  review of problem statements, out-of-cycle requests, organizational execution plans (OEPs) and business enterprise architecture (BEA) governance
    • Support functional area management (FAM) portfolio reviews across the Navy portfolios
    • Actively coordinate, support, and facilitate senior level working groups on a regular weekly basis 
    • Identify process improvements and provide process recommendations within the IT business environment
    • Provide representation for the Navy IT PCA authority across cross-functional agency projects
    • Coordinate with DON and OSD stakeholder groups to update IT strategy maps that depict the way ahead for Navy IT
    • Support senior database administrator with maintaining and updating DON portfolio management tool 



    • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience
    • Strong communication (verbal and written) and analytic skills
    • Intermediate or advanced user of MS Office products:
      • Power Point
        • Building slides for senior leadership
        • Combining large amounts of data into easily understandable slides
        • Manipulating graphics
        • Creating diagrams
      • Word
        • Changing styles
        • Embedding objects
        • Creating and updating templates
        • Creating diagrams
      • Excel
        • Inserting rows and columns
        • Understanding and using formulas
        • Creating pivot tables and graphs
        • Understanding how to use pivot tables to analyze data
      • Access, specifically:
        • Arranging data and making table connections
        • Database creation not required but is helpful
    • SharePoint content management

    Desired Skills

    • CPIC/ IT portfolio management experience 
    • Familiarity with Navy business systems is a plus
    • Hands-on experience with Navy business analysis and program support
    • Experience working directly in a Navy FAM space
    • Experience performing analyses of tactical, operational, and business information technology
    • Understanding of the principle policies governing DoD CYBER and Information Technology equities
    • Experience with problem statement development and deconstruction
    • Demonstrated experience with various types of analysis methodologies
    • Experience in business case development, gap analysis, requirements gathering, and process mapping and methodology
    • SharePoint site maintenance and requirements gathering
