    USfalcon Inc., is seeking to add a Senior Business Analyst to support a vital component of national security within the Department of Justice. This is a unique opportunity to work with a highly skilled engineering and software development team in an Agile and DevSecOps environment. Among many initiatives, the team plans to design and build a new case management system and continue development of a high-profile electronic filing application using Agile Scrum development methods. The key role of the senior business analyst is to ensure the business requirements are properly translated into the technical solution. The work is full-time at the client's location in Washington D.C. and requires a Top Secret clearance with ability to obtain Sensitive compartmented information (SCI) access.



    • Apply process improvement and reengineering methodologies and principles to conduct process modernization projects
    • Lead requirements gathering and activity analysis sessions
    • Perform Business Process Re-engineering (BPR) activities
    • Develop as-is and to-be designs and descriptions, context diagrams and process flow diagrams
    • Perform activity and data modeling, develop modern business methods, identify best practices; create and assess performance measurements
    • Provide group facilitation, interviewing, training and knowledge transfer
    • Assist in Agile methodologies to include creation of user stories, product backlogs, Scrum minutes, and retrospective documents
    • Participate in Agile Scrum sessions to include daily standups and demonstrations
    • Plan, organize and assist with development of required system documentation
    • Develop training materials and provide training to user community (attorneys, paralegals, and support staff)
    • Ensure quality control on deliverables
    • Prepare and deliver written and oral communications


    Required skills include: 

    • Experience with analyzing and documenting complex business processes, software development requirements, and taxonomies
    • Experience with technical writing and documentation pertaining to any aspect of automatic data processing


    Desired Skills include:

    • Experience developing functional requirements and data elements for complex integrated ADP systems
    • Experience gathering requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, and site visits
    • Experience with business process descriptions, use case scenarios, business analysis, tasks and workflow analysis
    • Experience preparing applicable Government and industry research technical documentation and standards
    • Experience with Microsoft Visio
    • Experience with Agile methodologies


    Education: Five Years’ Experience or a Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or a scientific or technical discipline related to the specific skill


    Clearance: Active Top Secret clearance with ability to obtain DOJ SCI access
