    USfalcon, Inc., recognized as one of the fastest growing, privately held companies in the United States, is seeking a Subject Matter Expert III (Modeling and Simulation) to work out of Colorado Springs, Colorado.

    Responsibilities

    • CONUS travel may be required
    • Serves as a subject matter technical expert in areas relevant to the project
    • Provides guidance to the technical staff on the functional procedures/processes/policies reflecting detailed knowledge of functional areas
    • Interfaces with contractor and Government personnel and other functional experts
    • Reports in writing and orally to contractor management and Government representatives
    • Provide engineering subject matter expertise in support of space and cyber distributed mission operations
    • Design, engineer and develop modeling and simulation tools and systems for use in advanced training, mission rehearsal and exercises for space and cyber warfighters as well as those dependent on the capabilities and effects of space and cyber operations
    • Establish overall Modeling and Simulation (M&S) program requirements
    • Design and implement DMO-S architectures
    • Develop use cases
    • Provide mission analysis subject matter expertise
    • Support DMO-S road map development
    • Assist in the assembly and installation of DMO-S systems in Bldg 24
    • Assist with load/configure/test of h/w, s/w, connectivity and proof of concept prior to operations
    • Assist in establishing a persistent communication capability and conduct necessary testing setup between DMOC-S and end user
    • Assist in data exchange/validation testing across STEN/JTEN
    • Assist in event setup with DMOC-S and distant end clients. Load software onto DMOC-S servers/clients and execution of systems used in demonstration
    • Perform configuration management over remote clients during testing, mission rehearsals and execution exercises
    • Provide feedback on the configuration, setup, performance, and execution of systems used in exercises
    • Assist the engineering team in acquisition of all source design criteria and data required for this program and for obtaining correct and complete data to include technical and test reports, technical orders, engineering drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams, etc.
    • Additional duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    • A minimum of ten (10) to fifteen (15) years of experience in complex engineering or technical efforts
    • A minimum of eight (8) years of combined new and related older technical experience in the technical discipline directly related to the required area of  expertise
    • A minimum of five (5) years experience in modeling and simulation of satellites and space vehicles
    • A minimum of five (5) years software installation and checkout experience
    • A minimum of three (3)+ service oriented architectures

     

    Desired Skills:

     

    • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Project, Visio, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access, and Outlook)
    • Ten (10) to fifteen (15) years of experience in complex engineering or technical efforts
    • Working knowledge of DOORS or other system requirements building tool
    • Working knowledge of Enterprise Architect, SPARX preferred
    • Working knowledge of MatLab, MS Project, STK
    • Familiarity with STK is a plus
    • Experience and knowledge of Air Force Space Command (AFSPC) mission areas and operations.

    Education: B.A. or B.S. degree from an accredited institution.
