    USfalcon, Inc., recognized as one of the fastest growing, privately held companies in the United States, is seeking a Software Testing Manager for our Apache Maintenance Trainer (ATM) Program to work out of Newport News, Virginia.


    • CONUS and limited OCONUS travel may be required
    • Lead a team of 10 to 15 software engineers, test engineers and technical writers in support of the Apache Maintenance Trainer (AMT) Program
    • Coordinate with and supervisor our software development vendor / subcontractor
    • Develop software test plans, software test procedures, conduct tests, perform test analysis, document test results, and support test evidence of complete audits
    • Develop acceptance testing plans in coordination with our customers and other staff groups for preliminary and final testing of the systems to be delivered
    • Prepare and coordinate the plans and schedules for the program
    • Serve as a senior software project lead / manager of software development, software integration, and software testing phases of the program
    • Lead and manage software engineering teams
    • Lead and manage test engineers
    • Expand and influence program development by working closely with the other senior managers to set future technology and process direction for the program
    • Produce program documents required by the customer and be able to make presentations to customers on status and technology of the product
    • Additional duties as assigned


    • A minimum of eight (8) years of software testing experience, including experience in all phases of the software development lifecycle
    • A minimum of six (6) years’ experience in leading technical teams and mentoring


    Desired Skills:

    • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access, and Outlook)
    • Strong organizational skills and ability to motivate a team
    • Strong technical background to understand the complexities of the system to directly contribute to the testing of the system as well as lead the development efforts
    • Strong understanding of how to develop software requirements and how to test these requirements

    Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field, from an accredited institution
