    USfalcon, Inc., recognized as one of the fastest growing, privately held companies in the United States, is seeking a System Administrator supporting US Army Cyber Command to work out of Ft Belvoir, VA.

    The qualified System Administrator will support the computer systems administration for file servers, systems migration, Local/Wide Area Networks (LAN/WAN), virtualized servers and desktop (VMWare), NAS/SAN storage and various operating systems software (UNIX, Solaris, Windows 7, Windows Server 2012 R2 and future releases as required) and various cloud environments.





    • Provide UNIX/Solaris systems administration services in both classified and unclassified network environments.
    • Supports UNIX/Solaris-hosted software application enhancement activities
    • Installs and modifies UNIX/Solaris-operating system software, applications software, and terminal emulation software for access to mainframe hosts
    • Provide System Administration support for deployments, both contingency and exercises.
    • Test and develop integration and deployment methods for new hardware and software.
    • Perform troubleshooting activities to resolve technical problems on a variety of computer hardware and software and perform maintenance and technical support for ARCYBER servers worldwide.
    • Conduct scheduled backups of the site's data (on all networks) in accordance with operational and business requirements.
    • Perform management and operations of the site’s Storage Area Network and/or Network-Attached Storage and replication of off-site data
    • Ensure data recoverability by implementing a schedule of system backups and database archive operations.
    • Ensure backup processes comply with Government requirements to maintain backups of audit logs for five years.
    • Performs diagnostics when necessary on servers, individual workstations, and the network fileserver
    • Isolates and resolves complex UNIX/Solaris software problems involving the application, the UNIX/Solaris operating system, the hardware, and the communications infrastructure
    • Performs system user administration functions
    • Supports all aspects of UNIX/Solaris software life cycle development, including requirements definition, design, code, debugging, verification and test, and maintenance of software modules
    • Creates scripts and report queries 
    • Operate and maintain servers; perform log analysis, error detection, fault correction, backups, and restore.
    • Perform startup and shutdown of the systems as required
    • Maintain all systems with current antivirus, vendor patches, and comply with Defense Systems
    • Information Agency (DISA) Vulnerability Management System (VMS) (or equivalent) reporting requirements.
    • Ensure compliance with STIGs and ensure applicable Information Assurance Vulnerability Management (IAVM) alerts and bulletins are applied prior to the suspense date. System Center Configuration Manager or current equivalent shall be used to apply patches and IAVM
    • Additional duties as assigned.




    • Bachelor's Degree Preferred
    • Experience in enterprise network cyber defense
    • Experience in UNIX/Solaris/Windows Server Administration
    • Experience in Local/Wide Area Networks (LAN/WAN)
    • Experience in virtualized servers and desktop (VMWare)
    • Experience in NAS/SAN storage
    • Experience with building, configuring, patching, and upgrading servers, network devices, workstations, portable desktops, laptop computers, operating systems, and server applications following Security Technical Information Guides (STIGs).
    • Experience using Risk Management Framework (RMF)
    • Experience operating in a DoD Intelligence environment or other national level agency preferred.



    • Bachelors' degree from an accredited institution or 7 years similar Systems Engineering, Information Technology and troubleshooting activities.

    • IA Certification

      • Primary: Computer Network Defense – Infrastructure Support (CND-IS)
      • EC-Council Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), or
      • GIAC Global Industrial Cyber Security Professional (GICSP), or
      • (ISC)2 Systems Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP), or
      • CompTIA CySA+ (Exam Code CS0-001)
    • IAT Level II Certification

      • CompTIA Security+ CE certification, or

      • Cisco Certified Network Associate – Security (CCNA Security), or

      • GIAC Global Security Cyber Security Professional (GICSP), or

      • GIAC Security Essentials (GSEC), or

      • (ISC)2 Systems Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP)


    • Active TS/SCI


    • Personnel may be required to travel periodically within Fort Belvoir and the National Capitol Region (NCR).
