    The qualified Application Developer will apply software engineering efforts and programming support required to develop, implement, and maintain DCO custom software applications and hardware that will support diverse sets of disparate data and information sources.


    • Provides programming support required to develop, implement, maintain, and upgrade custom software applications hosted on NIPRNET, SIPRNET, JWICS, and other supported networks that support diverse sets of disparate data and information sources.
    • Performs software builds and supports software/system integration, testing, and evaluation.
    • Supports software engineering efforts Supports Information Assurance compliance and system/network AuthoritytoOperate activities within the DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF) Develops and uses software application monitoring tools and an Incident Management database
    • Tracks and reports software incident trends, especially Information Assurance vulnerabilities
    • Uses and customizes enterprise level tools such as Remedy, ArcSight, and SharePoint Review existing software applications and provide written recommendations to the COR whether existing applications require replacement or enhancement.
    • Provide formal or informal training as required by the COR or TM, to functional users, analysts, and managers to ensure they understand the system or application and are able to operate it without undue interruption.
    • Create an Incident Database used to document all incidents and facilitate incident reporting through the chain of command.
    • Create dashboards displaying all active incidents within the AOR. Query capabilities and output from the Incident Database that facilitates the reporting of DCO trends in the respective AOR
    • Create dashboards displaying specific DCO items of interest Utilize internal analyst tools Perform master station log documenting analysts work, discussing DCO topics, and generating internal tasks.
    • Utilize enterprise tools (e.g. Remedy, ITSM, ArcSight, SharePoint etc.) as required.
    • Customization within enterprise fielded solutions may be required to meet DCO needs.
    • Develop and maintain Forensic & Malware Analysis (F&MA) Case Tracking database and Malware Artifact Catalog interfaces/customization to allow ARCYBERACOIC and FM&A analysts to conduct forensics evidence quality media analysis of automated information systems that are or have been suspected of being compromised by malicious code or intruders.
    • Provide rapid script development for various tools/OS/products/etc.
    • Additional duties as assigned.


    • Bachelor's Degree Preferred    
    • Working knowledge of Windows, Unix, and Linux host platforms
    • Proficient with PHP programming
    • Experience with the following applications and tools: Army Register Network Layer-3 Devices (ARNLD), Remedy, Army Computer Incident Database (ACID), JWICS-hosted Request for Information (RFI) tool, and the Cyber Response Tracker
    • Experience operating in a DoD Intelligence environment or other national level agency preferred.



    • Bachelors' degree from an accredited institution or 7 years similar Systems Engineering, Information Technology and troubleshooting activities.
    • IA Certification
      • Primary: Computer Network Defense – Infrastructure Support (CND-IS)
      • EC-Council Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), or
      • GIAC Global Industrial Cyber Security Professional (GICSP), or
      • (ISC)2 Systems Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP), or
      • CompTIA CySA+ (Exam Code CS0-001)
    • IAT Level II Certification

      • CompTIA Security+ CE certification, or
      • Cisco Certified Network Associate – Security (CCNA Security), or
      • GIAC Global Security Cyber Security Professional (GICSP), or
      • GIAC Security Essentials (GSEC), or
      • (ISC)2 Systems Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP)



    • Active TS/SCI


    • Personnel may be required to travel periodically within Fort Belvoir and the National Capitol Region (NCR).

    Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; SECRET, TS, or TS/SCI clearance is required.
