    RGS, a USfalcon company is seeking a Vendor Service SME to support NAVSEA CIO.  The Naval Sea Systems Command’s Enterprise Information Technology /Command Information

    Officer ( SEA 00I EITO/CIO) provides superior management and compliance of Information Management/ Information Technology (IM/IT), cybersecurity, and Information Systems (IS)

    lifecycle management and compliance for the NAVSEA Enterprise. The NAVSEA Enterprise is comprised of over 35 work sites worldwide including NAVSEA Headquarters (HQ), Program

    Executive Offices (PEOs), Warfare Centers, Shipyards and Supervisors of Shipbuilding and more than 60,000 users.

     

    The SEA 00I EITO/CIO is responsible for all aspects of the Command's information technology and systems; provides direction and leadership in the application of information technology to

    support the Command's goals; and in concert with senior managers of business processes, links the information technology strategy and the capabilities with the Command's business strategy

    and needs. The E I T O/CIO is the Command's focal point for information technology integration and partnering with organizations external to NAVSEA. The E I TO/CIO is the

    trusted agent that senior managers rely on to direct the information technology support and provide effective and strategic use of information resources across the Command.

     

    Responsibilities

    • Coordinate vendor service calls and warranty work, performing quality assurance testing to assure that software and VTC system problems are resolved. Coordinate with headquarters and field activities to implement approved changes.
    • Coordinate with vendors and Government designated SMEs to select appropriate technologies, products and services in order to produce a comprehensive and cohesive architecture
    • Coordinate services with outside vendors for the movement of surplus excess property through the NAVSEA SEA 10 (PSC) warehouse.
    • Assist with planning large-scale systems and projects through vendor comparison and cost studies and provide input to policy level discussions regarding standards and budget constraints.

     

     

     

     

     

    Qualifications

    • 10+ years working with vendors, supporting vendor relationships
    • Familiarity with Navy/NAVSEA vendors and the various roles they play
    • Experience managing vendors and working through vendors to solve technical or process issues
    • Superior project planning/management skills
    • Understanding of Navy IT development and support processes
